I am going to baozha at Blogger already. What the hell lah after I select posts to label in bulk they will send me back to the first page. Then I thought you can select all at one go and yi ci guo label. I just did that THEN THEY SAID NO POSTS WERE SELECTED WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH BLOGGER ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Can the administrators make blogger more user-friendly please == Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Labels: Rants Heh, 免了吧,我恐怕当不起喔。 Damn you. Don't come to me when you have questions. May you turn into a frickin' gangster in the future. Then you can be violent all you want and I WON'T GIVE A FRICKIN' DAMN AT ALL. Labels: Rants I went for training today and it sucked like mad I bowled 54 points can you freaking believe it 54!!!!!! I was guttering like nobody's business and my seniors were all so shocked haha gosh aaaaah. I wanna baozha already. Labels: Rants School hasn't started proper and I've only one CCA, yet I'm so tired already. Gosh. Plus theory exam and practical exam and if I really join a second CCA, I think I'll go mad. But I wantttt ): Argh argh argh I'm tired I'm tired I'm tired. Meh meh Sok C'MONNNNNNN. Labels: Rants We were at the coffee shop downstairs eating dinner just now, then we met this asshole who was smoking at a table which had a big big NO SMOKING sign on it. My mum told the guy here cannot smoke and he was quite bushuang about it, but continued smoking anyway. Whatthehell. His kids were there too. He's like 1. violating the law; 2. setting a mega bad example for his children; 3. putting his children's health at risk (this is the best part). Idiots. Labels: Rants sokkhoong says (20:12): i'm sick of chinese alr ): qiaoyan says (20:12): me too totally i dont want to see another chinese compre or compo in my life if i have to do chinese in hci sokkhoong says (20:13): i'll just die. qiaoyan says (20:13): yep See what chinese does to people -.- Keep biting me. I've lots of mosquito bites now. My room is like some insect park. Yucks. Go away go away go away!! I really don't understand why we're studying so hard. Came across this and well thought it's pretty true. Haha, study and study and study, then what? Get into HCI, go into university, maybe, get a PhD, maybe, then you work the rest of your life away until you retire, get your CPF or whatever, and die. How sad. What's up with money, anyway? I mean like after becoming a doctor/dentist/lawyer/whatever other job and earning so much money, you don't get to bring them with you into your grave, anyway. I think we're just conforming to society's demands. The government insists that we have at lesat 6 years of primary education, to prepare us for a knowledge-based economy, blah blah. How many of us really, truly want to study because we want to study? I mean in the first place, your parents enrol you (probably, possibly) partly because it's a crime to not enrol your kid for primary education or something like that, I'm not sure. And let's say, we really want to study and learn anyway. I don't see how our education system is helping. Hey man, check out all the tests and exams. According to MOE: Singapore's education system aims to nurture every child and help all students discover their talents, realise their full potential, and develop a passion for life-long learning. We want to nurture in our young the willingness to think in new ways, solve problems and create new opportunities for the future. Equally important, we want to help our young acquire sound values and develop the strength of character to deal with future challenges. National Education aims to foster strong bonds among students and develop in them a deep sense of belonging and commitment to family, community and country. Can I say they've failed? A more accurate representation by a certain someone whom I will not name: Teaching will be focused on developing the ability to memorise large amounts of text from the textbook, regurgitate thinking and facts from the textbook and the ability to ask questions but not question the answer given. Albert Einstein: It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education. Look I mean, we're learning things that the school wants us to learn. We're learning things that others want us to learn. We're not learning things that we want to learn. Why should learning be inclusive of numerous tests and examinations anyway? Dictionary.com defines learning as "the act or process of acquiring knowledge or skill". Now which part of it mentions assessment? And anyway, to "...ask questions and seek solutions". Really? Why don't we all try asking our teachers why 1+1=2 and see what they say? "Studying is the cage that locks up our curiousity and inspiration." So tell me the purpose and use of education. To point back to and accuse where all our suffering came from- education (What A Joke, Ha Ha). To turn us into human resources to be exported out of Singapore as goods, simply to gain revenue for our homeland. See, it all boils down to money. . says (23:05): I shall end with this: My ambition is to be a pauper, a noob, and a 没出息的孩子. Do I still need to study? Self-explanatory. I think Shaun nearly died trying to teach me how to find resistance and current for some stupid circuit. Meh. I found my AMC cert, btw. 1. Got back chinese 读书报告 thing for SIA. I've got 69/100 ^$#@! So angry it's just a mark to 70. Ok there's still the portfolio but I really don't hope much, sigh (damn I sound so complain-y here). 2. Bio quiz on nutrition in plants. I didn't study but I think I'll pass. I hope I'll pass. 3. Chem quiz on organic chemistry. I also didn't study but I'm pretty certain I'll pass despite getting most of the reagents for the various reactions wrong I guess. I'm sure I've plenty of mistakes there == heh. 4. Australian Mathematics Competition. I am terribly sad to say that I did worse than 60% of the people who took AMC, because those who got credit are in the top 60% and I got some, Certificate of Proficiency or something. One above the Certificate of Participation. I'm damn sad. Bong Yumi got Distinction T.T I think a lot of the class got COP so GAH WE SUCK D: Ok, I shouldn't be degrading everybody else with myself so, I suck -.- 5. I just took the AMC cert out and now I cannot find it wth. 6. I took bus home with Siew Ying today and the bus's air-con wasn't working. The bus was hot and kinda stinky but I was still zi-highing and this primary school girl was staring at me. 7. I think we should have no school/no lessons so that we can use our time for studying. Lessons now are a waste of time because we're not being taught anything new. So, all lessons should just be made free period for us to study whatever we want to study. This is how our time can be utilised properly. If not you'll go to school to waste time and energy, by the time you get home you're tired and you cannot study properly. (Paragraphs getting longer and longer hahah.) 8. Durations for certain examinations such as LA Paper 1 should be extended because it's kinda impossible to write a good essay and a good SRQ, each within 50 minutes, minus 5 minutes for planning- that's 45 minutes. It's not about how fast you can write, is it? And they want good handwriting. Of course we all want to write nicely but when you're rushing for time and content, would you care so much, really? And we should be given more time to think. If you take 10 minutes each to plan your essay and SRQ you're left with 40 minutes for writing. And if you realise you've written out of point, you're dead 'cause you don't even have time to tweak the thing. 9. The Chinese Department really should stop spamming us with Chinese now. Chinese isn't the only subject around and we need to study. Spamming us with Chinese may have 反效果, if they haven't realised. We'll all just get sick of doing Chinese all the time, we'll just 随便乱做 and that obviously is of no help to improving our Chinese standard at all. Exams haven't even started, let alone ended. We still have some time after EOYs to do lots and lots and lots of practice for Higher Chinese O Levels and they can spam us however they want then, I don't care. 10. No offence to anybody, but I've decided that I won't consider anyone around me to be my best bud or anything now. I'm quite happy being by myself and I really do appreciate the good good friends around me who know me inside out and upside down. Nothing bad happened to trigger such a thought but well it's just something I've been thinking about so, don't worry. And please please don't feel offended/upset. \: 11. (Damn anti-climax but) my biceps GREW! Bwahahahaha push-ups are good for you. I should do more after EOYs. 12. Today's a warm day and I took a shower without turning the heater on because I wanted to enjoy cold water. It was cold for the first 5 minutes, but the water heated up after that -.- Grrr. Labels: Daily ramblings, Rants See, they claim IP stresses on daily work, but hey: EOYs: 50% SIAs: 20% Block Tests: 12% Quizzes and daily assignments: 18% Which means Daily assignments: 18%> I'm sure. Labels: Rants It's math lesson now and we're watching '27 Dresses' in the library. Mr Chiang said those who don't want to watch it can go outside to use the computers so here I am. I'm not the only one. And haha, a whole lot of people ponned school today. Only about half the class is in school. Why they can pon I cannot ): Ma wun let me and she will kill me after reading this. C'mon man we worked so hard for our Gold in the World Choir Games and nobody cares. We don't even get a day off for achieving such results. Homelearning's not counted! The rest of the post is here. 5 minutes to recess. Labels: Rants, WCG Graz 2008 |
